Arrow Disabilities & Diets - 10-30-2008, 04:20 AM

Is there hope for disabled people on diets? I'm disabled and can't exercise & that has caused the pounds to creep on over these past few years. Then the biggest whammy & insult to my body was having to have surgery to remove my ovaries due to cysts and after that I put on 50 pounds in just this past year! Unreal! Is this due to hormonal imbalance? I am not on any. My Dr. said not to go on any because they were dangerous. I was begging my Dr.'s for help but nothing is getting their attention except being told "Limit your caloric intake"...gee thanks guys.
I have contacted a Dietician at a local hospital which I will see next week.Meanwhile, I am checking out this site. How can disabled people get help? Any suggestions Paul would be appreciated.......p.s. I also have high blood pressure & last labs said my cholesterol was a tad high.
